NCBI Database Builder is a tool from Avalanche NextGen biology software package that allows you to create Blast databases from your own Fasta files.

NCBI Database Builder tool is the equivalent of NCBI's makeblastdb command that create Blast databases. However, NCBI Database Builder offers an easy to use graphic interface and an embedded manual.

• No installation required

Portability

This software tool is really small so you can easily copy it on a floppy disk or USB flash stick and take it with you or send it to your colleagues via email.
